Dear Colleagues,
      The CIML will hold its 53rd meeting in Hamburg, Germany, from Tuesday 9 October (afternoon) to
        Friday 12 October 2018 (morning). It will be preceded by an OIML Seminar “Legal Metrology in Practice” on Monday 8 October.
       An RLMO Round Table and CEEMS Advisory Group Meeting will be organized on Tuesday 9 October in the morning.
       A technical visit to the company Airbus will be organized on Thursday 11 October in the afternoon.
      More information will be sent in a separate invitation for the Seminar, and the two technical visits (Monday morning and Thursday afternoon).
       CIML Members are encouraged to contribute to our discussions in Hamburg by taking the floor when invited to do so by the CIML President, if they wish to participate in the debates or raise questions or concerns.
       As you know, it is essential that the Committee has sufficient voting Members for a quorum. Therefore:

        - if you are  personally unable to attend this meeting and would like to designate someone  from your government or administration to represent you and vote on your  behalf, please advise Mr. Stephen Patoray, BIML Director, of the name of that  person;

        - if you anticipate that you or the person that you have designated to represent you may be absent during any of the meeting sessions, please give a proxy to another CIML Member when registering online.

      Please note that if someone from your government or administration is representing you, this person may not receive proxies from other CIML Members.
       The BIML has prepared this website for the Hamburg meetings; it provides detailed information, including a selection of hotels with which special rates have been negotiated. Registration for attendance will be online via this website. The deadline for registering is 1 July 2018; if you are unable to register via the website, please contact Mrs. Patricia Saint-Germain (Administrator, Members) at the BIML and alternative arrangements will be made.
       Please make sure that you book your hotel early enough, as the deadlines imposed by the hotels to guarantee their special rates are different from the deadline for registering for the CIML meeting.
       Lastly, obtaining a visa may be a lengthy process so we urge you to make your application as soon as possible.
       Looking forward to seeing you again in Hamburg,
       Yours faithfully,

      Dr. Roman  Schwartz
        CIML  President
